School for Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy:

The school will be aimed at different aspects of Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT), including both cranial and extracranial applications, from basics to treatment imaging and planning to motion management, quality assurance and image guidance. Moreover, it will cover current hot topics, such as Cardiac SBRT (radioablation) and FLASH. The school will also highlight the essential role of medical physicists in clinical SRT trials, offering attendees a comprehensive understanding of their responsibilities in both research and clinical practice.

Dosimetry in Medical Physics:
EFOMP would like to invite you to the ESMPE European School for Medical Physis Experts On Dosimetry in Medical Physics on 4th-6th February 2027. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to photon dosimetry in diagnostic and therapeutic medical applications. Participants will review the fundamental principles of radiation measurement, dose quantities, dosimeters technologies, calibration procedures, uncertainty evaluation and dosimetric protocols used in radiotherapy, conventional X-ray imaging, computed tomography (CT), mammography, fluoroscopy and interventional radiology. The course will include the practical application of international recommendations, such as IAEA TRS-398 for reference dosimetry in external beam radiotherapy, together with current approaches to CT and breast dosimetry, diagnostic reference levels, patient dose assessment, image quality–dose optimization and quality assurance procedures in modern medical imaging and radiation therapy. This two-and-half day event will be accredited by EBAMP (European Board of Accreditation for Medical Physics) and is intended for practicing clinical Medical Physicists who are involved or interested in dosimetry in radiotherapy and diagnostic radiology. There will be an optional examination at the end for those seeking a higher level of certification beyond attendance. ESMPE have decided this event will be in a hybrid format. All lecturers will give their talks on-site in Prague, Czech Republic, but participants can choose if they want to attend the school on-site or online, it will be live-streamed.

School for Theranostics in Nuclear Medicine:
EFOMP is inviting you to the next ESMPE School in April 2027 in Athens, Greece. The school will be introducing the basic concepts of Theranostics in Nuclear Medicine. The school will cover molecular imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy and the combination thereof into a unified patient-centered personalized medicine approach. This 2.5 days course will be accredited by EBAMP (European Board of Accreditation for Medical Physics) and is intended for practicing clinical Medical Physicists who are involved in Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics. The school will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the scientific principles, clinical applications, some historic examples to learn from and emerging developments in theragnostics across a range of diseases. This spans from radiopharmaceuticals basics, imaging biomarkers, to dosimetry and personalized treatment planning in an interdisciplinary approach. ESMPE has decided that this event will be in a hybrid format. All lecturers will give their talks on-site, but participants can choose if they want to attend the school on-site (limited number of participants) or online, it will be live-streamed
