OPTIMIZE-RT project
Publication Date: May 28th, 2026 13:00, Category: EFOMP Announcements
The OPTIMIZE-RT project aims to develop and validate a fully online course on optimisation of CBCT in Radiotherapy. The main importance of this project is that most RT centres in Europe use unnecessarily high CBCT doses and many have never optimised their protocols.
EFOMP expert at the advisory board: Eleftherios Pappas.
This project brings together a prestigious multidisciplinary consortium to develop an education programme for Radiographers/Radiation Therapists, Medical Physicists, Oncologists, Quality Managers, and other professionals working with CBCT.
Under UM’s leadership, the partnership includes two universities, four hospitals, and four European/Worldwide organisations.
