Radiation Therapist or Dosimetrist: Medical Image Contouring for AI (Remote, EEA)

YPAI is putting together a small, named panel of radiotherapy specialists for AI validation work. You contour organs at risk on de-identified CT and MRI studies to a written protocol, and a radiation oncologist reviews your work independently. The contours serve as expert reference data for a radiotherapy software developer, so accuracy and consistency matter more than speed.
What you will do
- Delineate organs at risk on planning CT, and on MRI where the protocol asks for it, mainly head and neck and brain.
- Work to the project's contouring protocol, and to the consensus guidelines where the protocol is silent: Brouwer 2015 for head and neck OARs, the EPTN atlas for brain. Use standard TG-263 structure names.
- Correct your contours after independent review by a radiation oncologist, and log any protocol question you run into.
- Take part in a short calibration round on two cases before production starts.
Who we are looking for
- Qualified medical dosimetrist, treatment planner or radiation therapist (RTT) who contours organs at risk as part of clinical work.
- Experience in head and neck and/or brain planning.
- Comfortable contouring in a treatment planning system or a research tool. Onboarding in the project tool (3D Slicer with SlicerRT) is provided.
- Written English good enough to follow a protocol and log decisions.
How the work runs
- Fully remote, flexible hours, paid per hour on invoice as an independent contractor. Open to applicants living in the European Economic Area.
- Compensation: typically EUR 25 to 65 per hour, depending on experience, project requirements and scope. Tell us your expected rate when you apply.
- The work comes in projects. Each project invitation states the exact scope, hours and rate before you accept. Our current estimate for a first project is 10 to 40 hours over 2 to 4 weeks.
- You sign confidentiality and data-protection terms before you get access to any study. Data is pseudonymised and stays in the European Economic Area.
- If your employment contract requires approval for outside work, please arrange it before you accept a project.
