On October 25th, 2018, Oskar Chomicki passed away

• Co-founder and long-term Secretary of the Board of the Polish Society of Medical Physics (PTFM)
• Honorary Member of PTFM
• A member of the American Association of Physics in Medicine (AAPM)
• Vice President & President of the International Organization of Medical Physics (IOMP) (1997-2006)
• Fellow (Honorary Member) IOMP
• Honorary Member of the European Federation of Organizations of Medical Physics
• Author and co-author of several dozen scientific papers
• Co-author and translator of books on the subject of application accelerators in medicine
• Knight of the Golden Cross of Merit and Medal of Merit for Warsaw

During the International Day of Medical Physics events in Poland, he will be honoured with a minute of silence
