International Medical Physics Week (IMPW) 2021

The main purpose of the International Medical Physics Week (IMPW) is to motivate organisation of activities in a defined week that result in the promotion of the subject of medical physics globally.  This year, IMPW 2021 will be celebrated from 26-30th of April. IOMP celebrates the International Medical Physics Week by hosting a series of webinars dedicated to various professional, educational and organizational aspects of Medical Physics.

EFOMP are very happy to support IOMP in this intiative and have representatives taking part. On Day 2 ECMP 2020 President, Mika Kortesniemi, will moderate the session "Artificial Intelligence and medical physics: The initial experience of the SINFONIA Horizon project". On Day 4 EFOMP President, Paddy Gilligan, will give a talk entitled "Does contact shielding improve patient safety?".
