This course is organized by the Dosimetry Core Unit, which holds expertise in radionuclide dosimetry covering the whole translational path from fundamental research to clinical implementation.

The overall goal of this course is to gain more understanding of different aspects of dosimetry and radiobiology for targeted radionuclide therapy. You will learn basics on how to perform dosimetry, both in local and systemic therapies.

The focus will be on recognizing opportunities for various applications of dosimetry and learning how to exploit its full potential in your research. An important application of dosimetry lies in gaining better understanding of the dose-effect relationships. Therefore, translation of preclinical radiobiological parameters into useful information for future clinical use will be one of the topics. In addition, you will learn about the role of dosimetry in clinical trials and daily clinical practice. Lectures will be combined with practical assignments and guided tours.
