Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, Malta, is inviting applications for the position of Medical Physicist on a full time basis.

Sir Paul Boffa Hospital is a specialized hospital for Oncology and Palliative Care and Dermatology, which offers both in and out-patient services.

The Maltese archipelago (consisting of the islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino) is situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Malta is an independent republic and has been a member of the European Union since 2004. The local population numbers 400,000; added to this is a significant tourist population which peaks in the summer months. The island enjoys a pleasant, mild climate throughout the year. The islands host a variety of cultural, musical and art events and a wide range of sports and maritime activities can be enjoyed all year round, particularly scuba diving, windsurfing and yachting. Malta and Gozo are dotted with several historical and international heritage sites.

Applicants should be in possession of a relevant Masters degree in Medical Physics at MQF Level 7, together with a minimum of two years’ relevant work experience.

As part of a team, he/she will be expected to contribute towards delivering a high standard of service in the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department within Sir Paul Boffa Hospital. The appointee may be required to provide on-call services. A full job description will be available upon request.

The post carries a yearly basic salary of €27,846.00.
